The Canon A700 PowerShot: A quick Overview…..

The Canon A700, though priced fairly steep, seems like a good contender, even at the price. Featuring a 6x optical zoom lens, it is priced in a similar range to others offering 10x zoom lenses. However, the compact design and high quality makes up for it, making it a good buy, even at the price.

The 6x optical zoom, double the length of a standard zoom, is aimed at people who want more than just a “point and shoot” model. It boasts a number of advanced features, including manual exposure setting.  As you would expect, it may take a while to become accustomed to everything it has to offer, being somewhat Read more »

Casio Digital Cameras: Problems or Not ?

Casio digital cameras have presented a few problems, one of which is the complexity of menu options. If you are unsure about its operation, or unfamiliar with digital cameras in general, you may want to have the user manual close by until you have become familiarized with the way it works.

Some of the cameras have been reported to have memory management problems. However, it turned out to be a case of the user not being familiar with the options, and the cameras were fine. Another complaint, especially on the older QV Casio digital cameras, was the imaging quality. In the viewer the pictures all seemed slightly blurred, although this seemed a natural trait. Unfortunately, if you really did take a bad picture, you would only see it once uploaded to your computer. Fortunately, the newer Casio models have clear LCD viewers, allowing you to see the quality of your shot, and adjust if need be. Read more »

The Trend Towards a “Slim Camera”
