Casio Digital Cameras: Problems or Not ?

Casio digital cameras have presented a few problems, one of which is the complexity of menu options. If you are unsure about its operation, or unfamiliar with digital cameras in general, you may want to have the user manual close by until you have become familiarized with the way it works.

Some of the cameras have been reported to have memory management problems. However, it turned out to be a case of the user not being familiar with the options, and the cameras were fine. Another complaint, especially on the older QV Casio digital cameras, was the imaging quality. In the viewer the pictures all seemed slightly blurred, although this seemed a natural trait. Unfortunately, if you really did take a bad picture, you would only see it once uploaded to your computer. Fortunately, the newer Casio models have clear LCD viewers, allowing you to see the quality of your shot, and adjust if need be.

Another common complaint was that the pictures taken were out of focus. There could be a variety of causes for this, but mostly it’s human error, and not the camera. The lens could be dirty, or the flash could be unable to penetrate to the expected distance for the desired shot, literally “blurring the camera’s view”, in which case it will be unable to deliver a good picture. Once you adjust to a sensible distance, this problem disappears. The technology in Casio digital cameras is good, without too many (real) problems.

Actual problems from Casio digital cameras are quite rare. Some users have been known to complain about overexposure. Mostly it is a problem with lighting, or reflections from small floating particles in the air. It would seem that most problems with digital cameras in general stem from outside the camera. If you do have a problem with your Casio digital camera, you may want to read the manual thoroughly before reporting a fault. Depending on the problem, it may be as easy as moving a bit, or pushing a button to fix it.
